my 91 ranger 4.0 5spd will run great then after 8 or so mins of driving it will blow out the coolant out of the over flow tank and its bubbling. please help me what going on?

does your fan work?
thermostat stuck closed?
clogged heater hose or core?
water pump?
could be a lot of things..

fan spins i changing t stat tomorrow it doesn't mean its a head gasket right? cuz thats what i was worried about

not really no.. it might be.. it could be. but i wouldn't know w/out doing some looking
just do NOT drive it with it being that hot.. or it will end up being heads and gasket.

does it stay full of coolant till it starts boiling over?

just check everything... make sure water flows.

Bad rad cap even... Does the temp gauge spike or does it just boil over?

Thermostat is my guess, make sure you don't put it in backwards...

man, i told you to stop talking bad about me :thefinger:
i swear i didn't mean to :icon_rofl:

could always cut the center out of your thermostat to make it open and water flow full time to see what happens..
you have to have the outer ring for it to seal properly.

this is what i would do for now... in the thermostat there is the outer ring (that the rubber seal goes on) and the center that is the thermostat..
cut all the center out so its an open ring.
