So I bought this 92 ranger that had a new waterpump and a shit load of bar's leak in the radiator. Flushed engine lots but water still rusty. Recently filled it with coolant and dove it.(not a daily driver) Today I could see a coolant drip, followed it up to the drivers side head where it meets the block. Oil is fine. I keep wanting to think that this truck overheated. Engine ticks a bit and the exhaust is very noticeable, but it is winter time.

I have seen similiar several times on Ford engines. First make damn sure it IS coming out from under the head.. Could it be anywhere else is the question..
Then take the valve cover off and TEST the local head bolts for torque.. Could one or more in THAT area have come loose? Had one of them BROKE? (yep! I have seen that too!) Then try to tighten the local bolts.. If they do move you prolly have repaired the leak. If not then it is time for a new gasket.
That is one of the reasons I always use pure antifreeze in my rediator.. And yes I can get away with using pure down here where I live.

Pulled the lower intake off and found many leaks and a cracked gasket. The bolts where loose. There was a little bit of antifreeze in the oil. I checked the head bolts to make sure they where not loose. Everything back together and now the only issue I have is the front injectors are ticking. They are the last two on the fuel rail and the farthest away from the fuel pump. Could the fuel pressure being too low cause them to tick?

Do you mean the injectors are ticking more than normal? They all make a clicking sound when they cycle. If it is really loud it might be the lifters. Use a big screwdriver and touch it to where you think the tick is coming from and put your ear on the handle,I have also heard of others using a piece of heater hose to listen with.

the fuel pressure should be equal to all the injectors and low pressure shouldnt affect the way they sound. Are they stock, maybe they were replaced with different injectors. You can take all them out and soak them in a good solvent and replace the filters and o-rings. Like rusted ranger replied make sure it is not your lifters (the 2.9s notorious and dreaded tic) good luck.

ticking injectors

Ya they all tick but I have narrowed it down to the number one fuel injector that is ticking louder than normal. I can feel the ticking vibrating the fuel lines. I'll try switching it around with a quiet one. If this doesn't work then I'm stumped...
If the pressure from the fuel pump was supposed to be 40 psi and it was only, say 30 psi, would this affect the injectors noise, and would my truck still drive?

Ya try switching it to make sure it is the problem injector. The truck should run at 30 psi and would not affect the noise of the injector, but it would be the regulator not the pump that is controlling the psi.

ticking injector

I took off the upper intake manifold and noticed that the fuel had made it up stream around the number 1 port. the gasket was wet around the number 1 port only. This is the injector that is ticking. Any idea's that would make this happen.

Leaking or partially clogged. Partially clogged might cause a stream instead of a sprey and hence the wet gasket.

I started checking the wiring and followed some wires behind the engine that lead to my o2 sensor. The sensor was loose not even screwed down all the way. I could here it knocking on the pipe when I moved it. Could this be a problem? The sensor is made by Bosch so it's not the original but maybe not working properly?
