I'm getting ready to install an over head console, and was wondering if i need to remove the headliner from the truck to mount the bracket or if i just need to do a guesstimate and cut a hole in my roof.

remove the headliner, i installed one in my 94 and my guess in the headliner would have been off by about an inch and a half, the extra work in droping the headliner will be worth it when you wire it up and do the install
