i have a 93 4.0L, 4x4, auto, with the electric t case. i was wondering if anyone has had to replace the overdrive solenoid and if so how hard is it?

I haven't done one in an A4LD, but I've done them.
They aren't as bad as a lot of things, but they aren't a beginners job either. For one, you need to know which of the 4 identical solenoids in there is the one you want.

You will have to pull valve body to replace OD solenoid, which means you will need valve body gaskets, and the OD solenoid is the second 1 from the front..the front solenoid is the lockup one.
