Well...finally had enough of my transmission. Went to the wrecking yard yesterday and ordered a unit with almost 40k less on it.

Mine's been making funky noises for about a month now and as most of you know, has lost reverse on many occasions.

The "new" one has been tested and comes with a 30 day warranty.

Ahh, too bad, i am going to have to swap in an m50d sooner or later as my 5r55e is starting to shift hard and act weird.

Just picked the transmission up last night. Looks to be in awesome shape! (has 40,000kms less than my truck)

Just got off the phone with the parts shop and ordered the front and rear seals and the filter/'gasket kit as well as the t-case front seal and front pinion seal.

Going to be installing a universal transmission cooler before it goes into the truck too. Not screwin around with this one.

Once I talk to the owner of the company I work for, I'll be ordering a replacement t-case as well.

Will post pics as the work progresses.

Just bought the new transmission cooler. WOW...it's big! Like 1/3 the size of my radiator. Should be able to pull a 40 ft. 5th wheel now! lmao!!
