I picked up a 4wd 93 Ranger with a 4.0,5 Speed, super cab for $400.00. Other than the front end, this truck runs damn good. AC ice cold, cruise works, etc. $100.00 later after I picked up another dana 35 from a 95. This truck should be a nice dependable beater. This truck will probably see more air time than Tony Hawk at the X games:icon_hornsup: BTW, The bad front end I took out had NO grease inside.
Thanks to the people here on the forum for giving my noob Ranger ass some tips.

damn, that old pig was FUCKED UPPPPPPP

Looks like that thing was sunk in a mud pit.

if the front end looked like that, id go ahead and replace all the fluids.ie tranny, t-case, radiator, and rear diff.

ya definatly, and id go over the truck with a fine tooth comb, i bet u the back dont look that much better either, id pull that cover and see what u got

almost makes u wonder how well mud would lubricate LOL

dang they did a number on that! You putting a locker in it while its out?

Yeah, every seal and bearing in the front end was shot. The tranny fluid and radiator are great. I havent pulled the back cover yet. This is a low budget project so a locker won't end up in the front of it.

Jesus christ, did they pull the fill plug and shafts out and go mobbing around in the mud?

make sure the axle shafts are worth putting back in.if the bearing or seal surfaces are rusty grab some shafts too.

Looks like mine did after the drop plate punched a hole in the diff and i wheeled for the rest of the day.
