Thought some of you may be interested in my friends photos, a lot of the cars he shoots are of the vw crowd, which has their own ummm.... style. To each his own. But hes got some skills when it comes to camera work. Here are the photos from our shoot the other night with my rally car. Gotta stay busy when not working on the ranger lol

And your friend has some mad camera skills, those are good shots!

I almost picked up a little impreza for a daily driver, although it wouldn't have stayed stock long I'm in Rally NY country. They always hit up the next town over from me and try to do mine but the town board wont allow it, there's a couple dairy farms on the road that Rally NY wants to use that can't shut down for the day (cows wander across the road).

koda, small world, there are a ton of good spots up there. They are good beaters that is for sure, and budget friendly

My dad has something that your friend would love then. My dad owns a 73 VW beetle rally car that ran the alcan press on regardless pan-america and scca rallys it was in road and track in 83 its sittin in the back yard awaiting resto my dad has some pics of when it was in action

I'd love to see it as well. Rallying is probably my most loved form of motorsport. Saddens me that I don't see any rally activity around here, nor could afford a car, but if I could it'd deffinitely be an Impreza.

That is one sick car , you could post a mod list with the pictures

The car started as a 95 Impreza L, with a tiny 1.8 and awd, and about 238k on the clock.

Slowly it was upgraded more and more, starting with simple mods as boxed in rear arms, rs 4 wheel disc brakes, and then moving into drivetrain swaps. The first one which blew up in a dramatic smoke show was a 2.5/2.2 franken motor (high compression naturally aspirated) after messing with that set up, came the turbo swaps. Had the complete engine and driveline shipped from Japan, from an early 95 WRX (WRX's were offered in japan much earlier than here and the US, and they are much better/quicker than the US ones). That set up ran great for a solid two years of competition, and then finally gave in. So now we are on our second JDM WRX motor. The car is gutted and fully caged. Adjustable Coilovers on all four corners, and currently for the paved hillclimbs coming up, were running Braid Acropolis wheels with Kumho V710's. Inside were using OMP seats, and we just matched that with new OMP racewear. That pretty much covers the set up. There are various pics in the links of my signature below
