Our dog died last night :(

I've had to put 3 dogs and a cat down, and it never gets any easier to do. I cried a bit when I read of your loss, cuz I know all too well the pain.

I'm sorry to hear about your dog. It's tough losing a best friend like a dog. I've got a picture of my dog in my visor and her collar around my shift boot and it's been there over a year now I don't plan on taking them out any time soon :/

As i read that i looked at my dog and wanted to cry. When i was over it had to have been one of the nicest dogs ever, great garage partner.

Darn Jim and Vanessa, so sorry you lost him. I know it hurts, Bro!!! RIP precious Montanna. You had a good home and you are now, always home.

Vanessa and I took a picture of each other with him before they put him down. It's hard to believe the fate of the dog looking at that photo. He was struggling and wimpering, but he loved attention and was a loveable pup to the very end.

I still can't believe he's gone. I never thought taking him to the vet that we'd never be bringing him back home alive.

This day sucks. I haven't been worth a crap all day. Vanessa is working a 24 on the ambulance and has had her fair share of breakdowns today.

Sorry for your loss Jim.
Theres a saying around here: if one of your pets die, it was something bad that was about to go on you, but your pet took it for you.
I dont know if its true, but if it is, i thank to all the dogs ive lost for watching my back.
It really is like loosing a family member.

that's what happened with my moms basset hound. he had a lymphoma in his chest and there was so much fluid that he couldnt hardly breathe. they couldnt do anything for him so my mom had him put to sleep. he only had another 4-6 months left and my mom just wanted to get it over with. he was running around barking and you couldnt even tell anything was wrong. my mom let him run around the yard for an hour or so then brought him in and fed him probably a half a box of dog treats and then took him to the vet. it was sad. i had to fight back tears and i hated that dog too.

I'm sorry to hear about your dog. Growing up we had 2 weimaraners and I was crushed when they died.

As for flowers some white daises or a white bleeding heart would do nicely in that area.

i dont want a dog again till the kids are almost out, cause it takes so much to treat them right.....and its never the same when they are gone, they truly become family members.

we never know what can happen next. even in this sad time, enjoy the past memories.
