O'Reilly/Brakebest parts

Anyone ever use O'Reilly's brand of brake parts? I need to replace the drums and shoes and the O'Reilly brand parts are low cost. Does this mean that they are low quality? For those who have used them or are currently using them, how do they hold up?

i replaced my drums with break best parts (shoes and springs) from checker (also oriley) they work fine so far, no aquward squeeking or anything you get from cheep-o's, but you also have to remember that the rear drums dont add much as far as breaking, its mainly the front you shoud be concerned about, i dident cheep out on the front, just the rear =D and no complaints so far..

Their brake parts I have found to be better than any other auto parts stores. I really like O'Reilly and their brand parts.

Brake Best is O'Reilly's version of the Wagner mid-grade brake pad. Application specific material with shim. Good pad. Not an OE material. Application specific means the material is designed for the weight & braking requirements of the truck. Advance Auto Parts also carries this pad as their Wearever Gold pad. For a pad in the $20's it's good. There are better units depending on what you want to spend. For stock the Wagner Thermo-Quiet is the best and EBC brake pads are plain & simple the best of the best. I personally won't use the mid grade units because I use the best for any parts on my Splash but yer good with what you bought.

Rule of thumb: Never go with the cheapest pad. It will stop you but the performance is bare minimum per government requirements. The more you pay the better the brake.
