opions on a 91 v6 3.0 2wd 5spd ranger

i am thinking about buying a 91 2wd 5spd ranger it looks to be in good shape. its a std cab long bed the guy said it runs good and has a good clutch and all i have not looked at it in person yet but he has it priced pretty cheap. I am mainly asking how are the 3.0 motors what do i have to look for besides normal stuff and how reliable are those motors and what are known problems. I am only familiar with the 2.9ls pretty much how 2.9s are notorious for cracked heads and lifter taps what are the 3.0 flaws besides not as much power as the 4.0's

Thanks for the post I asked the owner he said the dash reads 80-90k hes not really sure as he hasnt really looked at it in awhile. so pretty much it has 180-190k on it.. but the clutch is supposed to be good and the motor is supposed to run great and all He is asking 1000 but said he would take 700 means it needs to be inspected so i mean im not expecting to get a perfect truck but im not looking to buy junk either. I normally do the main look over such as leaking anything checking oil, radiator and all that good stuff just wasnt sure if the 3.0s where prone to anything

Go for it, I just bought a 96 supercab 2wheel drive 5 speed with the 2.3 with 190k miles for 900. Body and interior in good shape and runs good but has some needs but nothing really major.
