Would like to hear from members who have done their own roll in bed liners. Such as, brand used, how long it`s been, how it`s held up. Anything you can think of.
Thanks

I haven't had my Ranger long enough (bought on New Year's Day), and it's been too cold (no garage, in Iowa) to do one just yet. But, I do have a CJ-7 that I've applied the Herculiner kit to the entire inside of the body-tub. I did this about 6 years ago, and it's still going strong. I double-coated the footwell areas, but the rest has a single coat. Easy to use, too. I actually brushed mine in, instead of using the roller that came with the kit. Just make sure to mix it well, and stir it occasionally during the application. I also used some on the other half's '85 Cherokee, on the rocker panels. Painted over it, never had a problem with it, either.

i did mine with duplicolor bed liner. Rolled it on first then went over it with rattle cans of the same stuff to give a better looking finish, it looks great and was really cheap (1gal for $40 at walmart) but if i were to do it again i would use something a little tougher. i did probably 3 or 4 coats and prepped really well before hand, sanded and wiped down with acetone. It has been about a year and for the most part its good, it is chipped in a few areas from shoveling stuff out of the bed with a transfer shovel. It is what it is, basically thick black paint with antiskid type stuff in it, at only $40 for the gallon though i would still recommend it unless you really use your bed a lot with sharp objects in it, like rocks/gravel or something that would chip/scratch normal paint.

i did the bed of my mazda with the herculiner brand about two years ago and its held up for the most part, but it will come off if you beat the finnish it needs to be recoated as about ten percent has come off but for what it is and the price i cant complain, even if i had to fix it every couple years it would still be way cheaper than rhino liner.

Thanks for the info. I got the company that makes it to send me a sample of monsta liner. I do believe it`s junk.
