Opinion on oil stabalizer

I will need a oil change real soon and i think i might put a quart of Lucas oil stabilizer in but don't want to waste 12 buck if its not worth it. I guess it helps keep oil on the top to keep dry spots. It gets pretty cold around here so whats your preference.
 
Lucasa is garbage...I wouldn't put that crap in my lawn mower. I've never felt the need to "stabilize" my oil. All Lucas is is basically an oil thickener with no additives. If you want a thicker oil, use a thicker oil! Don't "water it down" with that crap. If you just use plain oil and change it regularly, your engine will outlive the rest of the truck. No additives necessary!
 
Okay. Sounds good. I wanted to know before i wasted money. I have never done it. My truck starts up first turn in the winter. Thanks for the imput.
