Hi all. Long time reader, first time poster. Wanted to introduce my project:

Backstory of my 1993 XLT extended cab: My dad bought this truck in 2002 for $500. I got it in 2012 as my first car and I have put about 160k miles on it. In 2020-21 I built a .030" over 5.7" long rod turbo motor and dropped it in, running about 13lbs of boost on the PimpXS engine management system.

Other mods include 31" KO2's on 15x8" American Racing blades, splash lumbar seats, customer ladder rack and tire swing out, 8.8 LS rear end with disc brakes, Escape roof rack, '04+ mirrors, along with a ton of smaller off-road oriented items.

I recently had a 2.3 M5od set up for 4wd at my local transmission shop and I have a bw1350 manual case and bw1354 electric case. I am also currently building a Cherokee Dana 30 front end with a long arm kit to drop in up front.

My current goal is a mild 4x4 build for running fire roads And Backcountry camping. It already gets around fine without it, but I have been wanting to SAS this truck since I got it! I'll post more updates on the SAS as they come, I'm still missing a few parts: coil springs, shocks, speedo cable, rear driveshaft, and 4x4 sensor.

Thanks for looking!

Cool, look forward to reading your progress as you build. What you did on the engine sounds pretty similar to what I want to do on my 85 Ranger if I ever get started on it. It'll be a lowered 2wd though.

Welcome aboard! Cool truck.

Making some progress! Got my manual shift bw1350 back from the shop. Upgraded with the internals from the electric shift 1354.

I picked up a shifter from the local junkyard and replaced all the bushings. It is shifting as smooth as butter.

Working on buttoning up the Dana 30 front end and then I can start tearing down the truck.

This thing is going to be sweet, looking forward to seeing your progress. One thing, you may want to make a bushing for the t-case shifter to the lever on the case, there should be one there.

I don't want to alarm you...

But there is a dinosaur on your dash!

Looking forward to your progress.

Welcome to TRS...

Thanks all! I'm stoked to get everything assembled.

I replaced all of the bushings and stops for the lever. Need to update the photos. And get a good video of some boosted activities.

Good deal. I made all of the bushings for mine from brass shim stock and nylon. I guess I never looked to see if they were still available.

Cool build. Looking forward to following along.

Hell yeah.

I really wanna switch to that water pump lol.. the stock truck setup with the stupid intermediary pipe between the pump and the rest of the hoses is STUPID.

Welcome to TRS...

I didn't see you on his dash....

I don't think you would fit anyway.

Cool Project!

Thanks all! I can see the finish line!

The dash dinosaurs have been a staple in all of my family's vehicles.

I think that thermostat housing was for the 95+ lima motors. The upper rad hose is different too. But I'm pretty sure the pump itself is for the 93 block.

Getting ready to swap transmissions this weekend!

The Dana 30 is buttoned up and ready as well, but I want to make sure that the transmission is set up properly before I tackle that. Test fit everything the other day.
