Folded the left front leaf pack and slammed the drive shaft into the t-case:icon_rofl:

now I need to replace it for the kid. lol

So what happened that could only be in a Jeep? Solid front axle and leafs?

Is it lifted with out a belly drop and did he get it in a bind ouch is all I can say I hope my jeep doesn't act up like that on me

I think it's all in how you hit things sometimes. I had a pothole take the hub out on my Ranger, yet I hit bigger holes since with no problems.

that a nice breakage :icon_thumby:. at least you know what the problems is off the bat, when my tcase went i wasn't sure it was the trans or the case itself until a extensive tear down.

good for you theres a crap ton of those tcases out there. maybe get a new one without the slip yolk and the 4:1 low kit ?? that would be cool!

i have done that in my ranger

44 in tires and a really healthy 5.0.
it was a few years back

my wife warned my daughter to bring good shoes and a warm coat(night of her graduation party) she was the girliest of my girls and the oldest but rarely went wheelin with us. needless to say i scared the shit out of the three of them dumb enough to get in:icon_rofl:

i made it out of the woods sort of.....5 mph for 2-300 yards at a time to a safe place to leave it 7 miles away. that was after cobbling together what was left after the landing.

i also folded up and broke rbv springs in my yard back home in detroit as well wasting a drive shaft but not killing the t case. its odd because i have setup several 4.3 gm s series with beefed jeep springs and d 30's and they worked out well....but with the 60 and my ranger it was a no go. crazy and most unexpected but the way it went:dunno:

the best part is it was the proverbial...."ok last try" situation. i was attempting a near vertical climb that was wanting to flip me all the way over on my roof. (deep soft sand and i been on the roof in these conditions a few times so i was calculating a bit) i was wedging between two stumps at the top...with a d35 and 38's i would have walked it ok but with the d60 and 44's i was just a wee bit wider then normal...

i have an ext cab so my frame was hanging....so i went with some serious speed to break over.....i was all the way off the ground and didnt break over as i was going tooooo fast....just up....and down....the drive shafts were flying and the t case was bleeding something fierce.....

fun none the less. but i dont trail ride with chucks 44's no more....mud and snow only..and i drive pretty conservativly with my 42's as well....
