One link front

Has anyone here one linked an RBV? My leafs flex great on my 88 but they are a bit soft and it bottoms out if I try to bounce it off of anything so Ive been tossing around link Ideas and I have a friend with a couple buggies one linked and they work kick ass Im just curious of the amount of BS the frame will give me if I do it. I would prollylose some flex bc I would just be using coils instead of airshocks or coilovers but I think it would smooth out my ride a bit and I could push the front axle ahead a few inches. I do plan to one link the rear later on no question since its not steerin and the frame is easy to work with out back with no body mounts ect.

you would be better off doing a 3 link front. And saving the one link for the rear. You will have crappy caster change though the travel and the height you will need to try and keep the link flat at ride height is gonna be pretty tall.

Just curious, what exactly is a "one link" setup? do you have any pic of it? and how does it work on the rear? Im in the process of doing some reaseach on gaining more flex out of my 89 4x4. right now as it sits its bone stock as far as suspension, but im planning on changing all that.

One links are pretty kick ass.

It's got a pivot ball bolted to a cross member, and then a receiving, uh, shit, thing that splits off into two links, one mounted to each side of the axle. (One over and one under to control axle wrap)

Then there's a trac bar.

ummm ok I think im getting it now Im guessing the trac bar keeps it from moving side to side right? what about street manners with this setup or is it strickly off road?

I've noticed no difference in road manners on mine from a radius arm setup, but if you plan on beating on it the track bar mounts need to be pretty beefy.
