Nice! I haven't seen an MKT yet but my dealer had an EcoBoost Flex and has a Taurus SHO. And some guy I town custom ordered this sick, blacked-out MKS. Dang, EcoBoost has gotten popular up here already:D

i am going to try to swap one of thease things into a ranger in 10 years when you can pick up cars that have all rusted out.... rust belt + old car = cheep!!! :)

now does any one know what RWD engine the ecoboost shares a bell houseing with?

^I'm with you for the motor idea, and its closer than you think. Just let some dumbass teenager get there hands on the cars for there first cars and wrap them around a pole

that is what i say....just swap every thing over into a 84 ranger with a RWD trans hehe

It's front-drive AWD. Give EcoBoost some time and chances are we will see it in the Mustang, which will give you tons of options. Give it till 2012.

*edit* woo! 700 posts:yahoo:

well looking up videos and other info about the ecoboost. it is based off the 3.5 duratec engine that has been out for a few years now...and the ecoboost i-4 i think is built off the 2.3 that is in the rangers now....so i start thinking. doesn't the ranger/sable rwd/fwd 3.0 ohv share the same bell housing with the duratec? so that is telling me that a ecoboost may be possible to swap in a RBV...could even do a i-4 swap :). Also reading more articles ford is hoping to have 90% of its fleet with an ecoboost some where in it's line up for an engine option. So what I am thinking is that when the t-6 plat form pops out in a year or two it may have the I-4 for base engine..at 265 bhp and get around 30+ mpg. that could be the "v6" . The v6 ecoboost that is out now could be in there as well. I am thinking and that could be v8 power option that every one wants. Because the 3.5 makes 365 bhp at 3500 rpm. And some guy on a video from youtube said that they designed the 3.5 for towing in mind.

So I guess all I am saying is that look out for the ecoboost in a rbv near you!

it'll be 10 years before I could afford one.

My brother got to predeliver a Taurus SHO, he said he would like to see the race between it and a Mustang GT...

^I want to see a race against a STI!

the trouble is about the I-4 duratecs in the article above is it says its for the 2.0, and 1.6 liter?

The only planned EcoBoost engine are the 1.6, 2.0 and 3.5. This is something I know, I've done some research on them and talked about them within the dealership I work at.
