Old School 1986

Very nice truck! I like how you are keeping it stock the way it is. Especially with the old radios. The Cassette player in my 87 still works fine. Even all the lights! It'll probably stay where it is...why not!??

A work buddy was moving, so I helped out today. Nice day for being outside in Colorado!

This was right after Granny and Ellie Mae climbed off.

u should take ellie mae with u,

That's a nice clean truck, I need to get the a/c going on mine.

very very nice ranger! it's funny you went from colorado toa albany to get a truck, as just last week I went from albany to denver to buy a dirtbike!

Emiss had NOTHING to do with "Check engine", there is a "sensor", ford calls is "Infered Mileage sensor" that turns that light on every 40k miles (until you reset, unplug or remove it.
CEL is also called a MIL and is actually turned on by the computer, the "Emiss" light isn't.

I have a short in my ignition switch somewhere that will shut off the radio when I flash my brights. It will sometimes also kill the engine briefly and turn on the EMISS light.....what gives?

I can't believe I lived right next to that truck for years and it winds up in Colorado.

Nice find.
I have been looking for a 2wd first gen ranger for a while now. Cant find ant nice ones like that around here.

I'm headed back to Portland next week; maybe I can spy another clean Ranger to bring home. No wait, I've already got three vehicles. But I can look, right?

Back to work, but not hard work. Just a run to the Home Depot for some spring flowers. But I did stop at the coin-op carwash and give the undercarriage a good rinse, and also took the bed mat out and sprayed it down.

We haven't had two nice weekend days in Denver for weeks; it's good to get outside again. :icon_thumby:

you have the nicest cleanest unrestored 1st gen i ever saw, im jealous now :(

now take good care of it!

Rumors of something called "spring" are premature. May the flipping 12th and it's still snowing in Denver. Grrrrr . . .

It's Memorial Day so I headed down to the family plot at Bear Cañon cemetary down in Sedalia (about 25 miles south of Denver, west of Castle Rock, on Douglas County Road 105, which is very popular with bikers) to do some sweeping up/weed picking and put out some fake flowers.

Hot and dry (88 or so), so the A/C was a nice thing to have.
