I want to get different horns for my ranger because the ones that I have sound like a whinny toddler. They're loud, but they suck.

I've been going through some junkyards and finding quite a few '70s F-150s and such that have BIG snail style horns. Does anybody know how well those things sound? I never have a way to test them out, hence asking here.

I'm not wanting to get new ones (especially when my junkyard will charge
$5 for a pair). I'd like to have an older "feel" (sound) to my truck when I want to get noticed.

Any help is appreciated... Any vehicle recommendation is welcome.

Got a hi and low horn off of a mid '70s F-250. They add aLOT to my truck.

It sounds like it's balls dropped!

(It's no train horn, but it's a billion times better than the stock horn and it's exactly what I wanted.)

Mine ended up being free. My dad yanked them at the yard for me and I think the dude at the checkout desk was like "Hey, I seen you yesterday. Here's a discount since I seen you two days in a row."

Hahaha... It's badass.
