Old gas disposal

So just an update on this, I got the car pulled up to my house yesterday. Bought a battery for it, fired right up first try. After 4 years!! That old gas seems to be burning just fine. I figure the worst that will come of it will be maybe a clogged fuel filter and injectors, but I have spares. I also got the new tranny for it separated from my spare motor, so the plan is to get her back on the road after tax time next year.

I'm surprised it didn't evaporate...I had about ten litres in my Ranger when i parked it...when I tried to start it up after about 4 years there was no gas in the tank or lines even...

Yeah, weird isn't it? Oddly enough, I lost 1/2 gallon of antifreeze, some power steering fluid, and about a half quart of oil. But no gas loss.

Put a full tank of gas in the old Escort about a minute before it was totaled. Shes still completely full. Won't run though.. no clue why and I don't care enough at this point in time to try to fix her.

you probably tripped the inertia switch. most old fords have them.

did you try the enersia switch?

Put as much as you can in glass containers and use it as wasp/bee/annoying crap killer(cept people and bears...seems to just piss them off trust me).
Trust me, NO "hornet and insect and bee killer" off the shelf piece o crap works anything like good ol gasoline. With hornet spray... usually you ending up spraying about half the can on one wasp watching it struggle and stepping on it. I grew up on a farm and there was about 1000 wasps bundled up on the barn wall and it was time to do hay. Dad cut the top off a beer can, filled it with gas, and went in. Being probably 10 at the time I was thinkin "yep, not a good idea".... splashed the hive and not one buzz, motion, anything...just a giant brown clump on the ground lifeless.
I've been hooked ever since.

Plus its fun to light it on fire and kick it around!

We were talking a page or so back about pouring antifreeze down the drain. I came across an antifreeze jug I keep for spare coolant in my 4x4 kit. It's around 6 years old I think--not ancient.
