For christmas my wife and her family are pitching in for a workman's rack (aka a ladder rack) for my ranger. The machinest I use quoted me $250 or less to make the style I . The only thing my wife asks for is to get it powercoated. Now does anybody have any gained knowledge of what works and what doesn't? My 2 things is the middle bar and the back bar can be removed so I can walk around in the bed without fear of splitting my grape and it fits a sheet of plywood. You all helped with me deciding on my tires so now I am asking again but to make my '06 a little more work friendly...

Have it so the front one is removable also. The one on my dads truck makes a terrible racket at highway speeds if there is not a load on it.
