My ideal Ranger would have a 5 or 6 speed manual transmission and a lever shifted transfer case. Throw in the double wishbone coil-over independent front suspension from the larger F150's (I'd prefer a solid axle but I like to think Ford might actually go for the F150 IFS) Ditch the 28 spline Ford 8.8 for a disc brake equipped 31 spline unit and replace the Dana 35 with the F150's 8.8'' differential. Keep the Fx4 off road package with tow hooks on both ends, skid plates and some off road shocks and why not include a selectable locker or two? (like the Fx4 F150) Basically I'd like to see Ford build the Jeep Rubicon of Ford Rangers. Oh and don't forget a regular, super and crew cab with a 6 foot box!
