I am in the process of changing my oil pump on my 2.9. I am doing this without pulling the engine. Oil pan is off, but I do not have a clear view of the bolts that hold the oil pump on. Can't tell if they are Torx, or Allen or ?? 30 Torx is too small and 40 is too big. Can't seem to find the right Allen wrench that fits.
What am I missing? Thanks.

T30 has worked just fine on the oil pumps that I have pulled, check to see that the bolt heads aren't filled with crap.

Thanks for the confirmation. I did have to dig the mung out of the holes. Looks like I may have to dig some more.

I buggered the Torx up too bad to use. Drilled the little f'rs out. BTW, anybody tells you to change the oil pump IN THE TRUCK, smack 'em for me.
Do yourself a favor and pull the motor. You do not save any time or work by doing it with the motor in. Just my .02
