ok so i have a mechanical oil gauge and latly its been giveing me some weird readings start up cold at idle about 60lbs and reved up about 100 and above.. after oil is warm idles about 30 and when its really warm it idles at like 2lbs but driving its around 30... so this morning i went out and started it let it warm up came back out 10 mins later to hear.. is that thing knocking? looked no oil pressure and about 5 quarts of oil laying on the ground in front of it.. the top of the oil filter exploded.. can a pump be bad and produce to much oil pressure?? it also damaged the engine im sure from the oil left in the filter looks like glitter... do u think i should re bearing it? i put a new fliter and oil in it sounds normal runs fine got oil pressure... what u guys think?
