Hi everyone,

There's a problem with my Mazda B2500, the oil pressure gauge, when not accelerating over 1500rpm is down, but once I pass that it starts to indicate the actual pressure.
The engine doesn't seem to have any problems, as it doesn't produce any kind of weird sound and the oil pressure sensor was changed two days ago.

The check gage light comes on when gauges is down.

Does anyone have any advice or have experienced a similar issue? Any help is appreciated!

If the oil pressure gauge drops and the check gauge light comes on I think it is actually losing oil pressure. The newer style oil pump behind the aux pulley can be replaced from the front and apparently they do go bad here and there. If you can I would verify with a mechanical gauge, the port will have the sending unit/switch and is just behind the intake manifold, pull it out and put a gauge there.

? Can you be a bit more specific as to *exactly* where the 2.5L O.P. switch is ? .

I don't see it .

TIA,

I used these facebook post to find it

Thanx but I don't do facebok .

It is on the left side of the head near the back.
