I put an oil pressure gauge in place of the stock one since it kept reading in the red. This gauge claims 50-55 psi at higher rpms than idle and 20-25 when idling. I don't have a clue how to take this. I assume its safe, anyone know for sure? BTW I recently did the head/head gasket job and I kinda kinked the tube, but I think I got it straightened out so that it won't affect numbers.

sounds good to me.

make sure the kink isnt leaking (nylon tube is good at that).

I think its supposed to be something like 24 psi at idle and then increase 10 for every 1000 rpm. For some reason that sounds like what I heard before.

On a personal note, yours is reading exactly how mine reads. I wouldnt worry about it.

Anywhere between 15 and 60 is normal.

Mine idles cold around 60, warm 20.

When driving in the winter it stays up around 60 unless I am on an extended trip. In the summer it moves up and down a lot more while shifting and things.
