hey guys, i noticed today * the first time having the motor running* that my engine * out of a 91 mustang all stock * doesnt have any oil pressure, the motor sat for about a year before i got around to putting it in the ranger but was in good condition when i pulled it out.
the only thing i changed was installing the remote oil filter (trans dapt) and I am wondering if the size of the hoses going to the oil filter could be killing my oil pressure. Has anyone else run into this issue?

The instructions with my adaptors said to use 1/2" hose.

I prefilled the filter and pulled the coil wire and cranked it until it had pressure so I knew it was going to work before I put fire to it.

what gauge are you using ?

use a mechanical gauge to be certain.

according to the DIRECTIONS i had the hoses hooked up the right way yes, but long story shory the hoses were crossed at the filter adapter....but yea according to the directions with the filter adapter they are now hooked up backwards lol....oh well thanks guys..on to the next issue geeesh!

dang now you got me wondering if mine is wrong..on the adapter at the engine there are 2 in's and 2 out's.. 1 in is caped and 1 out is caped..now that leaves 1 in and 1 out..my directions say hook the in at the engine to the out at the filter and hook the out at the engine to the in at the filter...is this right...is this how you had yours hooked up before or how its hooked up now..

On the bases:

Out on the engine (oil is going OUT of the engine) goes to in on the filter (coming INto the filter) housing. Out on the filter housing (coming OUT of the filter) goes to the in on the engine (going INto the engine)

Used For: A constantly evolving testbed for improvised engineering. I love this!

yes, this is correct. my kit didnt come with instructions for some reason though so i hooked them up ORIGINALLY as in to in and out to out..
