...any in put on why my oil pressure gage takes a few minutes to give a read out? almost like it needs to warm up. could be electrical? could be a problem? could be nothing to worry about.

thanks for lookin'

well your oil pressure gauge is just a dummy light. I believe anything over 8psi and it reads dead center. anything below that threshold and it reads 0. This could be a large problem if your not getting any oil pressure. I would check and clean the connectors on the oil pressure sender and go from there.

Yeah.
Same with my 01.

As soon as it warms up, the gauge shoots up.
And the Check Gauge goes off.

The oli light only come on for a few seconds after starting, along with all the other lights.

Had the same issue on my 00. Your better off getting a mechanical after market gauge. They are pretty cheap and easy to install, plus give you a better reading.

Otherwise, you could try the above suggestion, also heard of people swapping out the sender to remedy the issue.

I had the same problem on my 02 changed the sending unit switch had no problems since. It wasn't very expensive either I think it was less than 15 dollars. Hard part was changing it.
