hey all.

so if you ever saw my post a month back, it was a black 87 ranger with grey and red and the axle removed. things are going good, but instead of the initial 351, i ended up buying a crashed 96 bronco. anyway, i have the 302 on a stand and im getting it ready for the drop. i ordered a rear sump oil pan, but not a pickup. my question is, is it absolutely nescesary to buy a new pickup? is there no way the stock one will fit? the one on it was a front sump, and it seems like it would fit? im just trying to save money, because new ones are around 60 bucks. thanks for the help

You HAVE to have the matching pickup tube, no ifs ands or buts about it. You can buy em cheaper at your local parts house. The pan too. Save your money elsewhere.
