oil pan replacement READ THIS

The pan on my 94 B3000 was totally shot so I decided to replace it myself. Dont even think for a minute that if you need to do this that you can do it easily! Number one, cut to the chase and pull the motor out!! Dont even mess around thinking you can weasel it out another way. I first took my tranny out thinking it would come out the back with ease...WRONG...once you drop your tranny, it still wont come out due to the flywheel being in the way, and also the oil pump inside the pan seemed to be a pain in the A$$ too. So after doing all that i had to undo the motor mounts, cram a jack between the frame and the block and jack the motor up about 4" and after wrestling with the pan for over an hour it finally squeezed out. If you never remember anything else, remember this....CUT TO THE CHASE AND PULL THE MOTOR. Bottom line. Period.
