Oil Light Meaning?

Until i worked the bugs out i could tell you how many times i run out of oil or overheated my 2.8. I replaced the rear main andvalve guide seals and put the thermostat on the intake Manifold. Shegets pretty noisy in rush hour traffic but no longer overheats and getting over 18mpg. Pulls a pass at 60+ mph!
