Been getting a "Oil Level" warning for the past couple of weeks and I know the oil is full. Just did a oil change.

Everything I have seen on this says you need to check the sensor and the "timer relay" but nowhere does it say where this relay is?.

Anyone know?

The sensor is only $20.00 and is most likely the problem but would like to be sure and test the relay also.

Never had to replace the relay but the '94 Ranger wiring diagram shows that relay is behind the instrument cluster.

Thanks,

I think I will just buy a new relay then to. I can only find them a dealer ($45) or E-Bay ($20). Don't want to have to pull the whole thing apart to test and find out is bad and put it all back together waiting for the part. The only test I could do was disconnecting the lead to the sensor and the light stayed on so that indicates a problem with the relay.
