im gonna be attempting to fix all the oil leaks on my truck its an 87 ford ranger 2.9 v6 ... everytime i stop after running it i will see a little puddle in diff spots i think its my oil pan possibly valve cover gaskets but would valve cover gaskets leave that much of a puddle and also im getting a lot of oil on my starter. then the last oil change i did i noticed i could move the oil filter housing a little back and forth..any suggestions?

There is a banjo bolt that holds the oil filter adapter to the block. I think it is 19 or 21 mm, don't remember off the top of my head. Just tighten it up.

Frankly, I would rent a cherry picker, buy a complete seal kit, and pull the engine. Throw a fresh oil pump in it, re-seal the whole thing, and drop it back in.

where can i get a gasket kit cause i havent seen any online for my truck and isn't there a seal inside the oil filter housing?

There is an o-ring that seals the adapter to the the block. That shouldn't cause it to be loose.
