brain pickin time.. it has new valve cover gaskets, but it looks like its coming from the back of the engine around the head gasket line. it is wet above it in one place too. its mostly on the passenger side. is there anywhere else it can leak around that area besides the head gasket. ive had it tested and they say the gaskets fine. thanks.

Cam Positioner Synchro is at the back of the engine on a 4.0l.

Look at Post #7 here: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums...-4-0-cam-position-sensor-synchronizer.233415/

Has a picture of the back of a 4.0l OHV engine, you can see here synchronizer is located.

And you can also see from that picture that a valve cover leak could run down intake side and then around the edge of the head to show up where you are seeing/feeling it

There is no oil under any pressure at the edges of the heads, there are drain holes but they are on lower exhaust manifold side of the head, so wouln't tend to leak uphill
