:annoyed: SO I thought it was my valve covers so I replaced them. Didn't fix them it stopped for about a week of solid drivng. Now it's back don't know what it is.Since i fixed this it has develpoed a studder problem it will start up but will run like its not getting gas and it does it even after it warms up.So? and it sounds like its got a cam in it and I KNOW IT DOESN'T that could just be because the timing is alittle off. But that's my main questions So help me please I need my baby on the road ASAP!

Spray carb cleaner around the intake manifold. You could have a vacum/oil leak towards the back of the engine.

How old is the PCV valve if you dont know change it and at every other tuneup they are cheap. A winter tuneup is in order plugs, cap, rotor and wires if you havent done so yet. Eliminate variables as in preventative maint first and look for vacuum leaks. If everything looks good to check the egr pull the vacuum hose off it and run a manifold vacuum hose to it at an idle the engine should stall when you apply vacuum you can use a hand vac pump also. A vacuum guage might also give you a clue as to what is going on and pull the codes look under EEC-IV in the tech library.

Did you re-tighten the valve cover bolts? Sometimes they need snugged down again after a little while of running.

I don't know how old it is so it wouldn't hurt to change it out.I haven't done the much needed winter tune up yet plan on doin it today since it is probably needed like 4 days ago. I'll keep ya guys posted!:icon_thumby:

use a piece ov vacuum tube about 2 or three feet long put one end up to your ear and search around with the other end you will hear a hissing when you get close to a leak and can pinpoint where it is. Works on exhaust leaks also tape a soft wire on the end of it to reach hard to get at places. Watch out for moving parts.
