I found this online

So from here I get the fittings and hydraulic hose up to the bracket with the filter. What can I get for a bracket that the filter attaches to that will work. I know my Chev Blazer 4.3 has a remote filter stock. Any body ever tried this or anything else that is stock on another rig? Or just a link for the real bracket? Thanks!

From the looks of it thats not available, but the trans-dapt 1413 looks just like it.

With a 2.9l you might be better off with one that points the hoses straight down. Check this one out.

EDIT: Whoops, I didnt notice this was in the V8 swap section and not for a 2.9l. Thats what you get when you read the "new posts".

With a 302 that one will be pointing the hoses right at the steering gearbox. Gotta use the flat one you posted first.

If you are going to use hydraulic hose you can just get the two aluminum adaptors. If you do that and don't like it parts stores stock bulk 1/2" oil rated hose.

I got sick of trying to seal the pipe threaded stuff with the stiff hydraulic hose and just used barbs and clamps... it is working fine so far.

Yeah, I know. Thats why I added the edit at the bottom.

So has anybody ever rigged something from a stock rig? I used the 4.3 chev as an example because I know it has the stock relocation set up.

PS. Its for a 351w swap

There's really not much room there for anything except a 90* adapter. I happened to have mine all ripped apart earlier this year:

What does the Blazer adapter look like? What filter does it use? It may bolt on...

The blazer ones look the exact same and are mounted behind the driverside headlight. But for the life of me, I cant remember the filter type.

Looks like a different thread. I would just buy an adapter.

You didn't say how it would work though, just that you posted in the wrong section.

Ford had a 90 degree adaptor on some of their V6 engines, depending on engine placement and front accessory drive that MIGHT fit. Mine is way too tight even for that. Ford Racing is rather proud of that part, it is worth grabbing before you junk your old engine if it has one.

I went back and fixed it.

The later 4.3 vortecs have a healthy 200hp...out of just a v6, maybe thats why they have a bigger filter.

My 2.8 has a fram PH8A filter on it. What filter size fits on the ford oil filter reloction setup?
