OHM test on Electromagnetic Clutch

I have my 2000 explorer 4405 transfer case in pieces. I think the electromagnetic clutch is bad. It has no continuity on the brown wire to anything. I believe it should be a coil and have continuity. I'm going to try and test another one tomorrow and see. I thought I would check before I order one.
