can you wire 2 dual 4 ohm voice coil subwoofers to 2 ohms. i have seen where you can and where it ends up being 1 ohm. i have never had dual voice coil subs before so im not real sure what the deal is. thanks in advance.

Yes, you wire both voice coils in parallel, and then you wire the 2 subwoofers in parallel, that will give you 1 OHM.

Check this out....... No. 4 is the way you will wire the two voice coils in each speaker, even though the diagram is showing 4
speakers. Make sure you keep them phased correctly (all +'s together, all -'s together):

Why not just run one sub at 2 ohm and keep the second for a spare? also why do you want 2 ohm?

well i got a dual 10 sealed box for real cheap. so i picked it up. honestly my good amp burned up when i loaned it out to a friend while i wasnt using it so im stuck with an old power acoustik sp2x-520 and i was just trying to get the most out of it as i could untill i get a new one. what is you guys opinion of power acoustik stuff. i saw their gothic series amps are good priced and was thinking about getting one cause my other PA amp has been good.

well i realize that unless your paying $500+ for a 2000 wattt amp you arent going to get 2000. i was just looking at it because i have a PA amp and its been one of the better amps i have had. i like them. never had any problems with them. yet. so i was just looking around.

i think youd be lucky to get 500w out of that thing

+1 In the experience that I've used them, they always tend to not be as punchy. Not a big fan a PA stuff either sound wise, reliability - never been an issue. IMO, Basically I've used and heard several different setups with PA amps and I wouldn't likely buy another. I'd probably run one for dirt cheap or free.

I don't want to discourage you from buying it, it could certainly work perfectly for your purposes, just stating that I wasn't satisfied with it's performance compared to other products. I am not a professional in this area, more or less an experimenter, so take this with a grain of salt.
