Oh, LOOK! Not ANOTHER V8 build thread!!!

Haven't updated this in a while... basically the tear-down is still going on.

Took off the water pump without removing the fan, like a damn boss.

Who else knew that the intake and exhaust valve springs were different?

Alright this is where I need help. I am having a hard time telling if the housing is bad of if it's a bunch of caked-up coolant. All I know is, is that I do NOT want to buy a new one as they cost a cool $160... no thanks.

No reall updates as of yet... I do have some parts on the way though. Pix when they get there, don't worry.

I am still on the hunt for a new water pump pulley. If anyone has one PM me.

What's wrong with the old one?

Chewed it up trying to take the fan off. Don't ask how.

Those Advance Auto fan wrenches are garbage.

Just found your thread. Looks good. Keep up the work.

Well, like it or not, money will be spent this weekend. I'll either be buying:

A) A beat-up 1976 F-150 with a 391 FT and a manual tranny

or

B) A master rebuild kit with forged aluminum pistons from Summit. Now I just need to find a shop that'll bore my block .030 over, then official reassembly will begin.

I say plan B, and sorry about the headers, but I seen em first :D

Naturally... and don't worry about it. Didn't have the money for them anyways. I'm still going to go the Tri-Y route for my exhaust.

I'm about to lay down some cash on this master rebuild kit from Summit. It's for the 1995 'Stang but what the hell. It includes forged aluminum pistons.
