Offset Rims

Im looking to replace the steel 15" Pacer rims on my '02 2x4 Ranger. Idealy I would like to ind a 15" rim that comes in multipe offsets so I can widen my front end about 2-3 inches and keep the rears tucked inside the fenders. I dont want anything wider than 8" so if anyone has any suggestion of if this is even a possibiliy please lmk.

goto 4wheelparts.com they have alot of rim and currently have a buy 3, 4th one free deal. As far as offset the smaller the distance it says the further out they are. Like 3in offset will set out further then 4in offset.

so a -30 will stickout urther than a -20? And does anyone know if there is a wheel manufacture that makes rims for the same vehicle in different offsets?

Atvoutlaw has his wording wrong.


-20 is measuring offset. 3" and 4" are masuring backspacing.

Backspacing is the measure from the rear/ inner bead (closest to the center of the car) to the mounting surface/flange of the wheel.

Here is a picture thing I drew up a while ago when I was figureing this out for myself.

Offset on the other hand is the measure from the centerline of the wheel to where ever the mounting flange is and to my knowledge is ussually measure in milimeters/metric. I know a negitive is to one side of the center line and a positive is to the other, but I'm not sure which way is which.

a numerically lower backspacing will set the rim further away from the hub. a negative off set gives the wheel that "deep" dish look.

WHY DUDE, you want to make your truck into a bro truck, people with the front sticking out on the front is because they have it long travel in the front and stock in the rear. This looks goofy as hell and to go for this look on purpose doesn't make sense to me. I am all for pre runners and trophy trucks but they have got to have the travel to backup the look. Maybe this isn't why you wanted it but im stumped

Depending on how far you want the front to stick out, the backspacing is up in the air. In the back I would go 3.75 with may 3 or 2.5 in the front.
