Anyone know of a website where you can get offroad parts for 1993-1997 trucks? I'm looking for something like Rusty's Offroad but for Rangers instead of Jeeps. James Duff used to be the place to go but they've dropped their 1993-1997 stuff except for a rear bumper. I'm not looking for a bolt on light bar, but the full bumper selections.

if youve got an angle grinder and a pair of saw horses you can make just about anything you want, as for welding you can either take it to a school that teaches welding and have some of the advanced students burn it together for you (this will take time as you need to fit things together as you go so youll be making multiple trips) or find a friend with a welder or pay a welder.

Might be time to look into getting a welder. It'll almost pay for itself by the time you've built yourself one bumper (ever notice what most places get for bolt-on offroad-style bumpers?? :shok: )

Don't have a welder or a bender.

harbor freight makes decent shit for the beginer

dont have that kinda cash? get 2 deep cycle batteries and 2 pairs of jumper cables and some 6013 rods and tack what u want together and take it for the finishing welds

and yes ive done that on the trail a few times to get home. if u do throw a blanket over the batteries in case something happens:icon_welder:

btw i picked up a harbor frieght flux core for 79.99

not the best in the world but for what im using it for it will be fine...if i just wouldnt have sold my millermatic

Call around and ask. That's how I got what I wanted. I do know Duff was looking for a 93-97 ranger to try some stuff on. Dont know if they ever got one lined up.

Ask a question, get everything but an answer.

:D

That's because there isn't one to give. Just part of owning a RBV dude... If you want a store you can buy everything bolt-on at (sorry to say) you'll have to get yourself a Jeep first.

I had an XJ, I ended up selling it because it was ugly and I was offered 6x what I paid for it. Sold my RBV after that, but now I'm looking to buy another. Checked out a 96 yesterday but I didn't wanna mess with CEL's. I've got an '89 BII that I'm checking out tuesday.

Anyways, I was just checking to see if such a place existed. I know they used to, but they slowly disappeared along with duff.

if you get the B2 I can help you out if you want a bumper like mine.

We'll have to wait and see. The last three Rangers I went to look at were sold before I got there, one guy was actually finishing the deal when I showed up. I looked it over still and asked the other guy what he paid, turns out he paid 300 less than what the seller wanted. I laughed and told him I would have gave him his asking price for it. He sold a '94 3.0/auto/4x4 with almost no rust, but a bad rear end for 600 bucks. The truck only had 120k on it.

I have pretty bad luck when it comes to vehicles. Shifty people mostly.

I can't recall Duff's RBV selection ever being anything special... it's always paled tremendously next to what they have for gen-1 Broncos (what little RBV stuff they did have was mostly for gens 1 & 2 anyway... Years ago I actually inquired about gen-3 stuff. Never did get a response).

After getting a welder and a few other misc tools, I've never looked back again. Now if I need something, I just build it.:icon_welder:

What exactly are you looking for anyway? (prerunner bumper? winch/trail bumper? winch combo kit?) Maybe someone here can point you toward another source for whatever it is if it exists.

here is a link to a Pirate thread for RLC Welding with Josh's bumper (93-97 Ranger )....

and Josh's bumper after he painted it with his winch installed.....
