To those of you that have run the Offy intake on your 2.8. What water neck did you use? Did you use a OEM Ford unit specified for the application or did you use the one listed in the tech pages from Racer Walsh? Reason I ask is when dad put the Offy on my truck all those years ago he used a ford unit, and being as it was cast iron it now looks like crap. I had the intake beaded and don't want to reinstall a crappy looking water neck plain as day on top of it. The one listed in the tech pages is cast aluminum (same as the manifold), but only has the radiator outlet and one other hole which throws me for a loop. On my existing water neck you have 2 outlets (radiator and heater hose) and a hole for the thermostat sending unit. So what am I supposed to do for both the temp sender and the heater hose? I don't want to get rid of my heater and don't want to loose the water temp gauge (regardless of the accuracy). So if you have this after market water neck what did you do?
