does anyone know what the off road package for the 2001 model included? ive googled it and found several different answers. some say it had a l/s diff, some say 4.10, some say different shocks and wheels and tires. i have no idea what to belive

Kind of close but the 2000 sales brochure shows 16" cast alum wheels, Bulge Body shock aborbers, P245/75R x 16 OWL, 4x4 off road decals, styled manual mirrors, 4.10 axle and skid plates. Things might have changed with the 2001 or even changed during the 2000 production run., that's why some times you will get different answers.

mines an 01 a limited slip wasnt always installed...i still get mad about that issue. eh lockrite fixes that

how can i find out if i have a limited slip? i have most of the stuff that you guys listed except skid plates

Look on the door tag, find the axle code and look it up in the Tech Library at the top of the page. Or drive onto an area of gravel or loose dirt and floor it. Then count the marks.

im gonna have to do the 2nd one because my security label thing is worn off. anybody know how i can find out that info? i did a vin lookup but it didnt tell me everything, and my axle has no tag either, probly rusted off years ago

I just got a 2000, as mentioned, has the newer style teardrop rims, Decals, Styled manual mirrors, and skidplate (Mine also has a tow package and front tow hooks, dunno if that was part of it also). Haven't checked my diff yet, and I doubt my shock absorbers are any good still :(

Don't be peeling out, Look at the Diff tag ON the diff, thats metal stamped, can't wear off.

There will be a little metal 'tag' attached to the diff cover *Probably attached to one of the bolts that hold the diff cover on* It will have a bunch of numbers on it, Look for where it says 3 73 or 4 10, etc. If it says 3L73 or 4L10, then it is LSD.
