Good day all,
I have a 99 Ranger 4.0 with a issue I am looking to get some advice on. It seems as we had an vacuum leak issue which we found and repaired the other day. It was idling around 1200 and would not settle down. As I said we found the issue and repaired it but now there is a new problem that has come up. When the engine is running it idles fine and if you hit the gas pedal hard it revs up fine. If you very slowly press down on the pedal it starts to stutter and some times it will stall out. I removed the throttle body and gave it a good cleaning but that did not resolve it so before I go poking around again I am wondering if anyone else has ever had this issue and what was the cause ??? I hate wasting time and would prefer to hear from someone that has already figured out this issue so I can get it fixed and over with. Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated as I have asked a few questions here before and gotten some really good help !! Thanks
