Does anyone know the OEM shift know part number? Mine must have had a dog chewing on it:icon_confused:

Or just get an aftermarket one cheap.

Or you can go to the junkyard and pull a nicer one off the multitude of manual Rangers.

good luck with pulling one of those things off

Well he's got to get the old one off somehow.

Somewhere down the line it'll swap out, even if he has to unbolt the shift lever itself.

does anyone know how i go about taking my shift knob off of a 97? is it screw off or do i have to heat it up and pull it? any help will be appreciated.:icon_thumby:

Heat and pull, those suckers are on tight though.

a open end wrench that fits around the stick just under the shift knob and tap the bottom of the wrench upwards with a hammer works for me:icon_thumby:
