i have a 98 and i recently did a cluster swap from an explorer with a tach. I rolled the new odo to match the mileage on my truck. everything worked great for a few months but recently about an hour into my daily commute my odometer stops rolling. after i turn off the truck for a little while and start driving again the odo will roll for a while then stop. my speedo and tach work fine its just the trip and odo that quit. any suggestions before tear my dash down?

It's very possible that the gear is worn down. Search for odometer gears and you'll see what's available.

When you say you rolled it to the correct mileage, did you take it apart or use something like a drill? I'm just curious if somehow you damaged something putting it back together.
