Just wondering if anybody has used them or heard anything about them. I orderd one off of amazon just a $22 deal. And download the torque app for my phone (not the paid version) just wondering what to expect. My valid argument to my wife was its my birthday present other than that I ccouldn't tell ya why I bought it.

I have given serious thought to getting one as well.

And unless you just got married yesterday, your wife should know by now that tools for a man are like shoes for a women. you can't have enough, and you don't really need a reason to buy another tool :) (this also applies to electronic gadgets, and since this device falls into both categories, well it was just bound to happen eventually.

Let us know how it works, and what you can do with it.

I have one, cost me 10 bucks, have the torque app, it works great! You can check codes, create charts, view sensors, things like that, it also can give you real time info when you're driving, like status of sensors, HP, RPM, coolant and it also does 0-60 times. It's nice when you have a code pop up, and you can simply read it with your mobile device, but it's also cool to see your real time info, and you don't have to dyno to get hp readings.

Despite a lot of them looking similar some do work better than others. This is the one I ordered, and I HIGHLY recommend it. Works in our Saturns, Fords, Chevy's, and Nissans.

Even with the free torque app it tells me everything I could reasonably want to know.

If you own or mess with OBDII vehicles it's indispensable. ESPECIALLY for the price and convenience.

I would be a lot more interested in looking into these kinda of things if I could find one that did ABS and air bag codes too.

I've got one as well. As others have said, it's a great tool. Much cheaper than a traditional scanner and actually provides more information. I'll probably start keeping one in each of my OBD2 vehicles.

I got my adapter today and could not leave work fast enough to try this thing out. it puts everything I could ever want to know right in front of me. scans codes and tells me what they are and clears them too. tried it out on the caddy it has a bad body controller so a few things on my app didn't work. I ended up buying the toque app and the list of real time things you can watch is endless. definitely a fun little gizmo to play around with.

Anyone know of something similar that would work for an Iphone?

How do you read those codes? Is it still the OBD2 port or is it something else?

Plugs into the obd2 port and transmits to your phone

Ok, figured out you need a WIFI adaptor rather than bluetooth.

Anyone know any good apps to recommend?
