We had a guy in our shop the other day with a really cool app -it was a scan tool he found for $5 (the hard wire was $50.00) for the Iphone.A few of the techs were sitting up front and overheard the conversation. One chimed in and said "yeah but it can't do so &so" the guy says"Yes it can ,see". Long story short it did tons of stuff for $55.00 total-seemed cool and useful

They have been around for sometime now. Car & Driver, Road & Track had articals on them. You can get gas milage, see what is up with the ECU/check warning light/code etc. Here is one place to view it:

I got the app on my android too. Seems pretty neat, I've been too lazy to buy a Bluetooth adapter to make it work though.

Ive got the app called torque. Been scanning/fixing/clearing codes for obd2 cars for a while now. Has a full hud display with real time everything including vacuum pressure, fuel pressure, mpg, 0-60, ect ect. Tested it against a really expensive obd2 scanner specific and matched code for code.

sounds pretty cool does it graph real time data and stuff like that i know the snap-on modis we have in the shop does about anything you could asc a scope to do but that thing was a pretty penny

This is the one I have actually. Where did you get the Bluetooth adapter at?

I been looking for a good bluetooth adapter too. If anybody has one they really like and would recommend please pipe up! Apps are a plenty but adapters are another story.

Kiwi is all you need to know.

Thanks. Too bad it says it only works in -15 plus. That's like half a year it wouldn't work here in Calgary haha

Holy crap! $15 only? I might just get one. The Torque application has an iPhone/iOS version right? How much was the app?
