I have a '99 v6 4.0
I removed the cat back in '08 and only about 6 months ago went back to a cat. I have a continuous CEL.
After about a 6 month period of new/cleaned plugs, I'm getting a cylinder 3 plug that's fouled from running too rich. A simple cleaning and it's good for another 6 months.
I have checked/serviced my MAF and it seems to be good. I'm thinking that the two years with no cat burned up my O2.
Feedback on my speculation for the O2 being bad and advice on what you think the problem and a good solution would be awesome. Thanks for looking at my post.
