Getting code P0136, Replace Oxygen Sensor(s) (O2S), O2 circuit (Bank1, Sensor2).
I am getting a check engine light, but have not noticed any engine issues. It seems intermittent.

I'm confused about which sensor. Should I just replace the one on top of the catalytic converter?

Other O2 sensor posts sometimes point to different issues on this site.

Looking to order from RockAuto, but don't want to get the wrong part. They have a
"WALKER PRODUCTS 35034414 OE Replacement Info One of our most popular parts
Fits Upstream; Bank 1 Sensor 1
or Downstream; Bank 1 Sensor 2"
for $23. Does this mean it will fit either and will likely fix my problem?

Bank 1 is whatever side cylinder 1 is on, bank 2 is the other side.

Sensor 1 is before the cat, sensor 2 is after the cat

So you are having problems with the after cat sensor for bank 1. on that vehicle there may only be 1 after cat sensor for both banks, I couldn't say off the top of my head.

Note, it could be a bad sensor, but it could also be a problem with the cat itself.

Being a 2.3L there is only one bank so it is talking about the rear sensor so yes down by the cat

I don't know P codes but I'm sure the description doesn't say replace O2 sensor, that's likely what a "fix finder" says, but being it's a '96 it's probably factory so wouldn't be out of line for it to be a bad sensor.
