o/d light flashind and no reverse

Hi everyone, this my problem today i was going out and when i try to go my truck 1995 Ford Ranger 3.0 6 cylinders Automatic Transmission did not want to moive, it is making a griding noise between the transmission and thee transfercase it takes a while to engage in to drive but no reverse what is the problem.
I will apreciate your help

Its possible that the transfer case is bad..the cross shaft wears the case and then it doesnt fully engage and kinda makes a ratcheting sound in reverse...as far as the code..you will have to get codes pulled.
